COLLEGE FANTASY FOOTBALL

2022 PAC-12 CFF Preview

Arizona Wildcats

Good god. I’m not sure I’ve watched so much poor quarterback play at the P5 level in one season. I know I’m partial because I watch a lot of PAC-12 ball and therefore was exposed to Arizona’s futility (indecent exposure, to be honest) more than I might be to say, Northwestern … but it was brutal a year ago.

CFF Rankings: Wide Receiver

Hot off the press with my initial top-150 wide receivers for the 2022 season in CFF. It’s May 25th as these are being published, so a lot can change between now and the beginning of the season.

Receiver is always the toughest position for me to rank, as there are so many options to choose from…

CFF Rankings: Running Back

Next up in our 2022 CFF rankings are the running backs.

It’s a loaded crop of ball carriers this year. The top 11 is very strong in my personal opinion, as I wouldn’t feel too bummed out with landing any of those names as my fantasy team’s RB1.

Impactful Coaching Hires: Zach Kittley and Eric Morris

Following offseason coaching changes is crucial when playing College Fantasy Football. Skill and talent are obviously important factors when projecting on-field production, but they’re not everything. Consider the fact that Calvin Johnson played his college ball at Georgia Tech from 2004 to 2006 and, despite having a successful college career, only surpassed 1,000 receiving yards once in a season. Was it that he didn’t have the requisite size, speed, or talent to be an elite producer at the college level? Clearly not — he’s a bonafide, legendary freak. Rather, Johnson is a prime example of how scheme and fit are crucial components in forecasting production.

CFB Week 8: DraftKings Saturday Main Slate

The Saturday Main Slate this week is chock full of fantastic plays. It definitely looks like one of those days to mix up your exposure and have some fun with your lineups. For this Saturday, I’m dropping a cash game lineup for ya. Check it out below.

Week 8 DFS: Thursday & Friday, October 21st & 22nd, 2021

I’m stacking the SMU pass offense against a highly vulnerable Tulane defense in what should be a shootout. Rice is clearly improperly priced after his past two games. I’m using all three ULL backs against an Arkansas State defense that makes Missouri’s rush defense look like the ‘85 Bears.

Week 6 DFS: Saturday, October 9th, 2021

My big risk this week is South Carolina QB, Luke Doty. He’s been active for three games this year and faced three top-10 defenses. I don’t believe that UT’s defense is as good as the raw numbers would indicate, and Doty has legit 4.5 speed, so he could finally bust loose in this game and outperform his Iowa QB level price tag.

Week 5 DFS: Thursday, September 30th, 2021

UVA/Miami (-4/62) I’ll get right to it on this one without much context or dressing. UVA has shown itself to be all offense and no defense. Total abandonment of run game and they just throw it all over the yard.

Week 3 DFS: Friday, September 17th, 2021

This will be a new addition to this year’s articles. If you are not familiar with PrizePicks.com, it is a site that is a combination of prop betting and DFS (hubba hubba!). They allow you to bet player props by yardage or total and also give the option to wager on how many fantasy points a player will record in a contest. I’ve been betting a lot of their season-long props, but I’ve recently started adding their daily options. In general, I dislike parlays. This site requires that you do at least a two-player parlay with each game. I believe that my edge on these bets is so significant that some of what I hand over to the book in their built-in edges with parlay payouts are offset by my ability to beat these numbers.
