UVA/Miami (-4/62) I’ll get right to it on this one without much context or dressing. UVA has shown itself to be all offense and no defense. Total abandonment of run game and they just throw it all over the yard. They are doing well, in general, but the Wake front dominated them last week. There’s a chance that could be an issue again as Miami is athletic on the front and now playing with confidence after a blowout of an FCS club. King sat out last game with a shoulder injury and his talented young backups played well. I got to see both guys in the spring game as well and can say they are both good players. They don’t bring the same explosive elements as King, but we could get an extended look at them. Was told privately that King could possibly be out again or perhaps for an extended period. That’s supposition and unconfirmed and while it’s not his typical knee injury, there are obvious downsides to being a 5’7″ QB that takes a lot of licks. I’m operating under the assumption that King will miss this game. As such, I’m going to take a free look at potentially seeing TVD or Garcia at QB and how they fare against an ACC foe. If I felt confident that King was healthy and would play, I would strongly consider Miami in this spot as I do think they will enjoy athletic edges that are critical to their success. Too much speculation for me and I’ll pass. Miami 34-30. Full disclosure: If I weren’t a content creator, I wouldn’t even consider putting anything on this game.
