The Recruiting Review is a weekly article brought to you by Cody Garrett (@_CodyGarrett) and Greg Brandt (@DevyWarehouse). We will bring you the latest recruiting news, including commitments and decommitments. We will also spotlight talented recruits that you need to keep on your radar.

Commitments:

Kendall Milton commits to Georgia
RB, 6’1”, 229lbs, 247Sports Composite 5*, Clovis, CA

The Georgia Bulldogs continue to earn the reputation of being “RBU” by adding the highly coveted 5* RB Kendall Milton. Milton’s size makes him extremely difficult to bring down, but is also fluid in his movements and has the agility to make defenders miss. He also has outstanding vision and breakaway speed, making him a threat on all levels. Georgia does a great job of getting their star freshman involved early, so it would not shock me to see him get some touches early on in his Bulldogs career.

Johnny Wilson commits to Oregon
WR, 6’6”, 224lbs, 247Sports Composite 4*, Calabasas, CA

Johnny Wilson doesn’t get the hype that some other wideouts have received, but this kid is a walking mismatch. A 6’6” he is not only physically imposing on DBs but also has long arms making him a nightmare to cover on 50/50 balls. Wilson also has very underrated route running and is very intelligent. He does a great job of reading defenses and finding open spots in coverage. The Oregon WR room won’t be too crowded once Wilson gets there so that he could get some action early on.

Deajaun McDougle commits to Maryland
WR, 5’10”, 175 lbs, 247Sports Composite 3*, Deerfield Beach, FL

McDougle selected Maryland over offers from Oregon, Purdue, and South Carolina. Back in February, McDougle posted a 4.51 40-yard dash at an Opening Regional event. During his junior season, he posted 61/853/8 while sharing the field with 4* WR Bryce Gowdy. McDougle is explosive off the line of scrimmage and creates separation. He will bring a vertical threat to the Maryland offense. He’s one more piece in Mike Locksley’s rebuild of Maryland.

Jaylan Knighton commits to Florida State
RB, 5’9″, 194 lbs, 247Sports Composite 4*, Deerfield Beach, FL

The Seminoles add a top 100 recruit, along with being ranked as the third-best All-Purpose Back in the country. Knighton ran for nearly 2,100 yards and added 28 TDs on top of that. He selected Florida State over Ohio State. He has homerun hitting ability, and he’s very quick and fluid. Displays good pass-catching skills out of the backfield. Will need to bulk up before playing a significant role in college.

Recruiting News:

Darnell Washington, 5* athlete, narrows his list:

Washington has yet to formally announce his top 3 so take this news with a grain of salt, but it is being reported that Washington will narrow his top schools to Miami, Georgia, and Tennessee. If this is true, it would mean Washington has dropped Alabama out of consideration which would be a tough blow for the Crimson Tide. Washington is a freak athlete that will likely play TE, standing at 6’6” and roughly 260lbs with elite athleticism. Wherever Washington ends up, he will be a nightmare of a match up. Watch for his “official” list to come soon and his commitment to follow.
