We were long past due for another mockarena. This one is a rookie mock formatted for PPR, Superflex, and TE Premium.

ROUND 1

1.01 Cody – Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

1.02 Jason – Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State

1.03 Kyle – Najee Harris, RB, Alabama

1.04 Brad – Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU

1.05 Greg – Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson

1.06 Clay – Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota

1.07 Clay – Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

1.08 Greg – Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue

1.09 Brad – Seth Williams, WR, Auburn

1.10 Kyle – DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama

1.11 Jason – Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida

1.12 Cody – Chuba Hubbard, RB, Oklahoma State

@FranchiseKF – The first round of this draft includes 90%~ of the same players that would have made this list over the summer. The first two picks should remain consistent in this format, though the order in which Lawrence and Fields are selected could vary. Hubbard nearly falling out of round one is one of the biggest changes over the past few months. He’s been playing behind a MASH unit OL for much of the season, which has significantly capped his upside. It’s a good illustration of why YPC is a sub-optimal statistic used to evaluate a back. He’s the same guy he’s always been, just running behind a poor OL. Pitts making his way into R1 was unlikely this summer, but it’s justified in TE prem after another outstanding season. This is a great looking group through twelve picks.

ROUND 2

2.01 Cody – Terrace Marshall, WR, LSU

2.02 Jason – Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

2.03 Kyle – Javonte Williams, RB, UNC

2.04 Brad – Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, USC

2.05 Greg – Tylan Wallace, WR, Oklahoma State

2.06 Clay – Tamorrion Terry, WR, FSU

2.07 Clay – Elijah Moore, WR, Ole Miss

2.08 Greg – Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Memphis

2.09 Brad – Zamir White, RB, Georgia

2.10 Kyle – Zach Wilson, QB, BYU

2.11 Jason – Dyami Brown, WR, North Carolina

2.12 Cody – Kylin Hill, RB, Mississippi State

@DW_BMack – The most noticeable thing about Round 2 is only one QB was drafted…and it wasn’t Trey Lance. I’m sure five to six QBs will go in the first round of other superflex mock drafts, but I’ll speak for everyone here and say the 20 picks between Fields and the next QB is indicative of the real-world gap between the first and second tier of QBs this year. Other than that, it was the usual suspects in this round with the exception of Javonte Williams making an atmospheric climb. Speaking for myself, I didn’t love my Zamir White pick, but I wasn’t ready to go QB. The other player I was considering was Brevin Jordan given the TE premium format.

ROUND 3

3.01 Cody – Max Borghi, RB, Washington State

3.02 Jason – Brevin Jordan, TE, Miami

3.03 Kyle – Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State

3.04 Brad – Jermar Jefferson, RB, Oregon State

3.05 Greg – Sage Surratt, WR, Wake Forest

3.06 Clay – Tutu Atwell, WR, Louisville

3.07 Clay – Javian Hawkins, RB, Louisville

3.08 Greg – Pat Freiermuth, TE, Penn State

3.09 Brad – CJ Verdell, RB, Oregon

3.10 Kyle – Mac Jones, QB, Alabama

3.11 Jason – Brennan Eagles, WR, Texas

3.12 Cody – Austin Watkins, WR, UAB

@DevyWarehouse – Not a lot of surprises in this round. Borghi slipping to round three is much different from what would have taken place prior to the season. I’m still not on the Trey Lance bandwagon. Take him at your own risk. I strongly prefer Mac Jones over Lance in real life and even fantasy despite Lance getting the added rushing value for fantasy purposes. The Louisville Cards had two highly explosive athletes snagged in the third. Atwell is under-appreciated right now. Pat Freiermuth as the third TE this late is a steal. He’s my 2nd TE in this class behind Kyle Pitts.

ROUND 4

4.01 Cody – Trey Sermon, RB, Ohio State

4.02 Jason – Kyle Trask, QB, Florida

4.03 Kyle – Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida

4.04 Brad – Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss

4.05 Greg – Nico Collins, WR, Michigan

4.06 Clay – Amari Rodgers, WR, Clemson

4.07 Clay – Justyn Ross, WR, Clemson

4.08 Greg – Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

4.09 Brad – Keaontay Ingram, RB, Texas

4.10 Kyle – Charlie Kolar, TE, Iowa State

4.11 Jason – Jhamon Ausbon, WR, Texas A&M

4.12 Cody – Jerome Ford, RB, Cincinnati

@allpurposescout – Of all the picks in round four, Justyn Ross at 4.06 stands out the most. Reports of him have been positive, and this late in the draft, he’s worth a flier on with his potential upside. Quarterbacks Kyle Trask and Matt Corral offer nice value this late in the draft. I’d argue that Matt Corral might have more fantasy potential than Kyle Trask due to his gunslinger mentality and ability to extend plays with his legs. Jahan Dotson could end up being a steal here with how he has looked this season and Charlie Kolar is underrated, especially in tight end premium leagues. The jury is still out on Trey Sermon, but at this point it doesn’t look like the draft capital will be there for him. Still enough time in the season to emerge once again. Kadarius Toney might be my favorite pick here as I do believe he sees the draft capital and can be used like Laviska Shenault all over the offense providing solid fantasy upside.
