Last mock for the month of July.
The Set-Up: 12 Teams, Superflex, Full PPR, Tight End Premium
Some Takeaways:
More QBs were taken in the 1st round than in prior drafts.
More QBs came at the expense of Jaylen Waddle falling out of the 1st round.
JSN and Boutte remain more sought after than any 2022 WR.
Sean Tucker made a big leap into the end of 2nd round.
Quentin Johnston remains a mystery. Everyone values him way differently, now having gone in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds. There isn’t a locked-in top 3 after JSN and Boutte. So, Johnston has a chance to round out the top 3. We’ll have to wait for the college season to clear it up before draft season rolls around.
Kadarius Toney remains a value judging from these drafts.
First Time appearance;
- Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots
- Devon Achane, RB, Texas A&M
- Deuce Vaughn, RB, Kansas State
- Cedric Tillman, WR, Tennessee
Mock by the Numbers:
2021: 6 QBs, 6 RBs, 7 WRs, 1 TE
2022: 1 QB, 5 RBs, 10 WRs, 1 TE
2023: 5 QBs, 7 RBs, 9 WRs, 2 TEs
Total: 12 QBs, 18 RBs, 26 WRs, 4 TEs
This will likely be the last draft for a while as we head into the 2022 college and NFL seasons. We’ll see how much the 2023 class’s performance prior to the NFL Draft swings their values. Same goes for our NFL sophomores and rookies. I’m betting there will be some surprise additions to the 1st round and will more than likely see some new names towards the bottom of these drafts when we do this exercise mid-season.
Thanks again to everyone that participated and follow their work. Adding handles for 1st-time participants in this exercise, some smart minds I’ve learned a lot from. @Adeiko_FF, @CharlesChillFFB, @KL_Fantasy, @AStarrFF, @TAlbTree
