What a fun weekend! Seven teams in last week’s poll lost. Washington State blowing a 32-point lead to UCLA was enough to fall out of this week’s poll. UCF and Texas A&M took the biggest tumbles this week but remained in the Top 25. UCF played Pitt, their second P5 opponent in as many weeks, and lost. They dropped from 14 to 22. Texas A&M’s offense doesn’t show up in the first three quarters against good teams. They dropped their matchup with Auburn making them the only two-loss team in the poll. They fell from 15-23. Several teams rose in the poll this week due to teams ahead of them losing. Texas has impressed us enough to become a mainstay in the top 10 despite having a loss on their resume. A loss, to LSU, that looks better and better each week. Wisconsin, Oregon, Penn State, Boise State, and Virginia are the biggest climbers this week, all up four spots. LSU made the most important climb, from sixth to inside the top four.

Others receiving votes: Kansas State (17), Washington State (14), Iowa State (5), Oklahoma State (3), SMU (3), USC (2)

Dropped out: Washington State

The Devy Watch Top 25 is calculated by the rankings of the seven members of the team. A first-place vote equals 25 points, a second-place vote equals 24 points and so on, down to 25th being worth a single point.
