We asked what weekly content you guys wanted to see here at Devy Watch. One of the answers was a weekly mailbag. We asked you guys on Twitter for questions for our mailbag this week, and you came through.

Which true freshmen are not getting enough attention so far? – @atldan

One freshman that has caught my eye is Jaren Mangham, RB at Colorado. He doesn’t have any eye-popping stats outside of three early TDs, but he’s looked the part whenever I’ve been able to catch parts of Colorado games. Mangham has great size and build and shows good power when running. Dante Wright, a WR at Colorado State, has looked great running and catching the ball. Wright has scored two TDs through the air and on the ground thus far. – Greg Brandt @DevyWarehouse

Is Kedon Slovis going to put JT Daniels in the Transfer Portal? – @fypmah

I think it’s a bit premature to make this call. That’s based on two major factors. The first is that Slovis has six quarters of play and 41 passes (well-placed!) under his belt. He is set up to have much greater success than Daniels did last season, but there is a lot of football left to be played. The second is that USC AD Lynn Swann just resigned. The net result of that likely means that they will hire a new head football coach next season. Helton has done what he’s needed to this far, but I think he’s among the worst head coaches in football. He did make a good OC hire of Graham Harrell. One of the main reasons that Harrell elected to leave North Texas was made after he watched film of Daniels and his abundance of talented pass catchers. Daniels was sort of “hand-picked” by him, and there is a chance that he could move on to a head job next season. All in all, let’s revisit this question in a month. – Kyle Francis @FranchiseKF

I have been able to turn a mediocre roster into 10 2020 1-3 rd picks. Should I try to turn those 2s and 3s into 2021 1s by the end of this year or roll w my 10 picks? – @AgentDMiller

If you’re able to flip 2s and 3s into first-round picks I’d do that all day long. The success rate of hitting on first-round rookie picks is much higher than the 2nd and 3rds. When you look back historically at rookie drafts, I can’t imagine that a whole lot of third-round picks are hitting with great regularity and turning into starters on fantasy squads. Give me the first-round picks and as many shots as I can at the top-end talent entering the NFL. – Greg Brandt @DevyWarehouse

Higher ceiling in 2020-2022: Cordeiro UH or Gabriel UCF? – @jester2trife

Great question. I think there are equal amounts of uncertainty for both guys. Will McDonald opt to leave early and see if he can make some money in the NFL? Will Milton successfully rehab his gruesome leg injury and take back the job that he lost? Does DJ Mack learn how to pass, and there is a third horse in the race? Based on what we’ve seen from McDonald through two games, I believe that it’s unlikely that he gets a very good grade from the NFL. I don’t know anything about his personal life, dreams, desires, financial situation, etc, but I think he’s likely to lead Hawaii again next year. I don’t think Milton plays football at a high level again, and I don’t think bad passers all of a sudden get good. As such, I lean towards Gabriel. The system is more favorable for Cordeiro, but I think he’s got a tougher hill to climb. I like both players a lot, but I’m more comfortable banking on Gabriel in 2020, as he should hold down this job as a true freshman in 2019. It would be hard to bump him off, even for a guy that’s as highly thought of within the program as Milton. – Kyle Francis @FranchiseKF
