Week Six: Devy RB Stock Report

Another week of college football comes to a close, and some running backs are showcasing themselves each week. Some for the better, others not so much. Which running backs are moving up Devy ranks and which are falling? Let’s evaluate Week 6 and find out.

Stock Explosion
Chuba Hubbard, RB, Oklahoma State

The vacated production from Justice Hill was there for the taking this season, but what Chuba Hubbard has done to this point is beyond expectations set for him in 2019.

Devy rankings everywhere should be moving Hubbard up. The rise is not just because he is the leading rusher in college football, and not only based on the fact that Hubbard is tied with Xavier Jones for the most TDs with 10. The ranking ascension is justified by Hubbard demonstrating the traits of a high-end, next-level running back. The weekly production is the product of his above-average ability.

Devy RB Stock Report

Week 4 is over. Several running backs have proven themselves worthy of the hype, while others crushed our hearts with lackluster performances. Find out which running backs have increased their Devy and trade values, as opposed to those who have seen a dip in their stock through the first four weeks of the college football season.

Stock Up:
Ke’Shawn Vaughn, RB, Vanderbilt

The jab, jab, uppercut that Vanderbilt started the season with hasn’t gone very well for the team as a whole. Now 0-3 to start the season, they entered the first three weeks with Georgia, Purdue, and LSU. As difficult as the start to this season has been, there have been a few positive takeaways, and Ke’Shawn Vaughn is one of them.

Freshman Stock Report – Week 4

Week 4 is in the books. It’s time to look at the freshmen in CFB who have seen their stock rise and fall.

Stock Up:

Wandale Robinson, RB, Nebraska

The top-rated all-purpose-back (APB) in the country has had a quiet start to the season. However, he made a huge impact this past Saturday in a comeback win vs. Illinois. Robinson showed off his full array of skills hauling in 8 passes for 70 yards and a TD while also adding 89 yards and a TD on the ground!

Scouting Report: Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State

Five-star QB Justin Fields signed with the hometown Georgia Bulldogs out of high school. After one season and the realization that Jake Fromm will not lose the starting job as long as he has eligibility, Fields transferred to Ohio State. Similar to how Fromm ran off Eason and Fields, Fields’ transfer sent Matthew Baldwin to TCU and turned Tathan Martell into a slot receiver at Miami.

There are some names that are not household names right now, but from their initial performances in week one, you should know their names now. You never know when the next no-name prospect will rise, but you definitely want to be ahead of the game when they do.

Scouting Report: Max Duggan, QB, TCU

Entering the 2019 season, Kansas State graduate transfer QB Alex Delton will be the starter going into week one with freshman QB Max Duggan also playing the first quarter as well. It seems as though HC Gary Patterson is having a difficult time choosing between the two QBs.

Duggan has been impressive all offseason and starting a freshman QB could be risky for a TCU team that now has a defense to compete at a high level. What makes Duggan stand out so much that Patterson wants Duggan to play alongside Delton in Week 1. It’s time to take an in-depth look at Duggan’s game to find out.

Scouting Report: Jordan Love, QB, Utah State

When talking about the top QBs eligible for the 2020 NFL Draft, you generally hear the same names – Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert, even Jake Fromm – being tossed around. But there is one name that is just as talented but getting far less hype: Jordan Love.

Scouting Report: Tyler Johnson, WR, Minnesota

With the 2019 college football season rapidly approaching, it is time to start breaking down the top prospects for the 2020 NFL Draft. You will hear a lot of different names being thrown out as the top wide receiver, but my favorite up to this point is Minnesota WR Tyler Johnson.

Scouting Report: Jake Ferguson, TE, Wisconsin

Wisconsin isn’t particularly known for its dynamic passing game but more so for an elite rushing offense led by Jonathan Taylor. In 2018, then redshirt freshman tight end, Jake Ferguson burst onto the scene proving to be an effective offensive weapon for the Badgers. Not only did he show off his above-average athleticism, but he also proved to be an essential receiving weapon for Alex Hornibrook. With 2018 under his belt, Ferguson looks to take even another step showing he is one of the top tight ends in college football.

Scouting Report: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

In the 2019 NFL Draft, two Ohio State starting receivers were drafted in the first two rounds with Johnny Dixon signing with the Houston Texans as a UDFA. Ohio State will now look to their senior WRs K.J. Hill, Austin Mack, and Binjimen Victor to step into the vacated production. Even with those three seemingly having the starting roles, there is a true freshman that has proven himself to be one of the best freshman receivers Ohio State has seen on campus in a long time. A product out of Lake Travis High School in Texas, five-star true freshman receiver Garrett Wilson is ready to prove that he is the next great receiver at Ohio State.
