Draft season is upon us ladies and gentlemen! With the NFL Draft less than a month away, I thought it would be a good time to drop a full 7 round mock; with trades! But this year, I wanted to do it a bit differently. Instead of your basic 7 round mock where you scroll through pages of picks and find your team’s selections with relatively no commentary, I decided to break the mock up and do an article on each individual team’s haul! Giving you a breakdown of what each team brought in and how I think it could help. So without further adieu, let’s kick things off!

With the 22nd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select…

  • Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida(1st round)
  • Tyson Campbell, CB, Georgia(2nd round)
  • Dillon Radunz, OT, North Dakota St(3rd round)
  • Richard LeCounte, S, Georgia(3rd round)
  • Dayo Odeyingbo, DE, Vanderbilt(4th round)
  • Derrick Barnes, LB, Purdue(5th round)
  • KJ Costello, QB, Mississippi St(6th round)
  • Cornell Powell, WR, Clemson(6th round)
  • Buddy Johnson, LB, Texas A&M(7th round)

The Tennessee Titans are a team that is just a few pieces away from making a run. A playoff team the past few seasons and had some big wins along the way. This draft they spend finding potential difference-makers rather than trying to fill a ton of needs.

In the 1st round, they grab an electric playmaker in Kadarius Toney. Toney is still pretty raw in terms of his route running, but he is very explosive and one of the more dangerous players with the ball in his hands. They also grab Cornell Powell late in the draft. These two next to AJ Brown can help open up the passing game in a big way. They also grab Dillon Radunz who was once projected to be a 1st round OT. He can slide over to RT opposite their all-pro LT. In addition, the Titans draft KJ Costello; a player that can be a quality backup QB but has some upside to eventually take over if needed.

On defense, they grab some very solid athletes. Tyson Campbell is a corner that has flown up the draft boards and they are able to snag him in the 2nd. Richard LeCounte is another Georgia product that is a very good athlete and a hard-hitting safety. Dayo Odeyingbo is another solid edge rusher that can provide depth and be moved around the defensive line.

Overall, the Titans add a ton of athleticism and talent to an already very good roster. They bolster up the offensive line while also adding some weapons that can open up this offense. On defense, they add players that can fly around the field and compete with some of the high-end offenses.
