It is OFFICIALLY NFL DRAFT SEASON BABY! The NFL regular season has come to an end. The CFP National Championship game has come and gone. And it is finally time for us CFB nerds to turn our attention to the NFL Draft. So what better way than to kick things off with a little mock draft?

Notes:

  • With this being my first mock of the postseason, I decided to do it as is, with no trades. I fully expect the top of this draft to have some major changes. There are too many teams with a QB need and many towards the top that are good enough to get creative in the draft. I expect the Bears to pivot out of the top spot to acquire more picks, as they are a team with more than one need, QB not being one of them. Be on the lookout for a future mock chock full of trades!
  • The QB position is a weird one. There is a clear top two, but people continue to throw others in there. While I have included 4 in this draft, I expect to see the draft play out similarly to last year with these guys slipping out of the first round.
  • With this happening, I can fully see more wide receivers entering this first round and some of these players sneaking into the top 10. This is a talented group, so don’t be surprised to see more start to get some buzz.
