Week 6 DFS: Thursday/Friday, October 7th and 8th

Thursday:

QB: Grayson McCall ($8,500)

RB: Shermari Jones ($6,300)

RB: Reese White ($5,700)

WR: Nathaniel Dell ($7,100)

WR: Corey Rucker ($6,100)

WR: Jeff Foreman ($4,400)

F: Isaiah Likely ($5,500)

SF: James Blackman ($5,900)

Prize Picks:

James Blackman Over 211.5 passing yards

Reese White Over 71.5 rushing yards

I am targeting the CC/Arkansas State game with this card on DFS. The game script sets up well for each team’s strengths, with the ASU being in chase mode and CC playing the role of bully and pounding the ball on a terrible ASU defense. The two players that I like from the Houston/Tulsa game are Houston WR Nathaniel Dell and Houston RB Alton McCaskill. I used Dell in the above lineup, but if I were playing more than one, I would move Likely into Dell’s WR spot and take McCaskill in the Flex. The PrizePicks plays are consistent with the aforementioned game script. Blackman is going to throw the ball 35+ times, making a passing yardage prop in the low 200s an unreasonably low number. White will likely get 15 carries and against the nation’s worst rush defense, he should go over the 100-yard mark.

Friday:

QB: Chris Reynolds ($7,500)

RB: Jerome Ford ($7,800)

RB: D’Vonte Price ($6,500)

WR: Grant Dubose ($6,000)

WR: Elijah Higgins ($5,400)

WR: Jose Barbon ($4,500)

F: Chip Trayanum ($5,500)

SF: Tanner McKee ($6,800)

Prize Picks:

Jose Barbon Over 3.5 receptions

I am getting a piece of all three games on DK for the Friday slate. Reynolds should have a big day against a leaky FIU defense that just allowed 700 yards to FAU. I’m targeting one of his top WRs in Dubose. Some backs have posted huge numbers against Charlotte’s defense, and Price should have a field day for FIU against their porous front. Ford should have a huge day against a Temple defense that is going to struggle to stand up under the onslaught from the heavy favorite. I’m fading Ridder, due to cost and probably game script, though that doesn’t give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Temple has a couple of their pass catchers listed as ? on the depth chart, but even if they play, I’m cool with the cheap price on Jose Barbon. He’s been targeted 22 times (11, 11) over the past two games. His 3.5 total on Prize Picks is an inefficient price. I’m stacking the Stanford QB and top WR against ASU. Stanford won’t be able to run at all, so I’m taking the QB that should throw 35+ times and his presumed WR1 now that Tremayne is out of the game. I’m going to side with Trayanum at a discount against Stanford as opposed to paying up for White. I’m not purposefully fading White, I just couldn’t find a way to make him fit.

Saturday:

Price Picks:

Chase Brown Under 88.5 rushing yards

Rakim Jarrett Over 4 receptions

Brown faces one of the nation’s top rush defenses this week. This is a big number against a defense of their caliber. I’m taking the game script positive, presumed new WR1 for Maryland now that Demus is OFY. Jarrett was targeted nine times last week, and I believe should get double-digit targets this week in a favorable matchup against an unimpressive Buckeye secondary. Somebody has to catch Taulia’s screens, and I think it will be RJ that picks up DD’s slack.
