As a senior, Gilbert caught 81 passes for 1,436 yards and 12 touchdowns through 13 games. He was awarded the Gatorade Georgia Football Player of the Year Award. The last three recipients of the award were Jamious Griffin, Trevor Lawrence, and Jake Fromm.
