One of the nation's premier running backs hails from Garland, Texas. Wheaton is a composite top 20 overall player and the top-ranked running back but 247Sports alone ranks him a bit lower as the fourth-best running back. He currently has offers from any power school that he wants, the four hottest on the trail for Wheaton are LSU, Oklahoma, SMU, and Texas. He was named District 10-6A MVP in 2019 after rushing for 1,142 yards and 15 TDs on 6 yards per carry. Wheaton has had back-to-back 1,110 yard rushing seasons and added 20 catches over that two-year span. Wheaton also ran track and clocked a 10.62 100-meter time in the spring of 2019. Just a smidge slower than guys like Jonathan Taylor and Henry Ruggs who both ran in the 10.5s back in high school.
