Devy Watch: 20/20 Vision (Clayton)

One of the best things about our team is that we have seven team members to share ideas with, debate, and get a consensus ranking on players. We decided to break the player pool into specific conferences and divisions last season and we are currently in our second consecutive season with each analyst being responsible for the same group. We believe the continuity in that evaluation is helpful and is aided by the size of our team to test our evaluations and hypothesis against. This article series will provide a window into the minds and processes of each analyst and our aim is to better inform the readers about players we had strong feelings about this cycle.

The majority of highly successful backs in the league harness an explosive first step that helps enable them to burst through the line and past the initial wave of defenders. There may be no incoming 2020 freshman running back who exhibits this trait better than Lakeland, Florida’s Demarkcus Bowman. Travis Etienne Has Added What to His Repertoire?

During the 2019 offseason, there were articles and blurbs galore about how Travis Etienne struggles and lacks confidence catching the football. Analysts have been pumping this as a flaw in his game ever since he exploded onto the scene as a freshman, and there is little doubt that he has indeed dealt with his struggles as a receiver. Heck, he even admitted it himself last summer!
