Commitments

Sam Adams II commits to Washington
RB, 6’2”, 200lbs, 247 Composite 4*, Eastside Catholic HS, Washington

Sam Adams II, a top 20 RB in the class of 2020, announces his commitment to Washington. This is a huge get for the Huskies as Adams was not only one of the top RBs in the country, but also one of the top in-state recruits. Adams is a physically imposing back with the power to move through defenders but also has the speed to get upfield in a hurry. Adams should benefit from the Huskies’ tradition of producing top tier RBs.

Jalin Conyers commits to Oklahoma
TE, 6’4”, 220lbs, 247 Composite 4*, Gruver HS, Texas

Jalin Conyers is widely considered one of the top 3 TEs in the country and rightfully so. Conyers is very athletic for a TE and attacks the ball like a WR. Also a basketball player, Conyers does a great job of positioning his body to make catches and shield defenders. He should be a perfect fit for the vertical, uptempo offense of the Sooners.

Luke Lachey commits to Iowa
TE, 6’6”, 220lbs, 247 Composite 4*, Grandview Heights HS, Ohio

Luke Lachey is more of an under-the-radar type prospect, but with the track record Iowa has for producing TEs at the next level, this commitment is worth a mention. Lachey is another basketball player and it is evident on tape with his ability to leap over defenders and use his body to make plays. Playing mostly on the outside as a WR, Lachey will need to refine himself more as a TE, but there is no better place to do that than Iowa City.

Mookie Cooper commits to Ohio State
WR, 5’8”, 193lbs, 247 Composite 4*, Trinity Catholic HS, Missouri

Cooper ranks as the 11th-best WR in the nation according to 247 Composite Ratings. Ohio State now has 4 WRs committed that rank inside the top-20 at the position. Cooper will add dynamic playmaking ability for the Buckeyes. He possesses the skills to fill the gadget role that Curtis Samuels and Parris Campbell have previously held. He shows a physical nature on defense and while blocking, despite his small stature. Cooper has tremendous burst and speed. Has the ability in the return game to make an early impact at Ohio State.

Recruiting News:

No 2 APB Daniyel Ngata names his top 5

The number two APB in the country, and one of the better backs in general, announces his top five which are: Arizona St, Clemson, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and Utah. Ngata has only taken one official visit which was to Texas A&M so look for more in the future. For my money, this will come down to Clemson and Arizona State, both of which offer something different. Clemson gives him a familiar face as his older brother and top 2019 WR recruit, Joe Ngata, is enrolled there. While the Sun Devils allow him to stay close to his home in CA while also giving him the chance to compete early on for a team that has had good success producing RBs.
