It is time for another edition of Risers, Fallers, and…the Mock! In this edition, I will be throwing out my first 2 round mock of the season! There has been a ton of movement in perceived player values along with teams jockeying for these high picks. With multiple teams owning multiple 1sts, it will be interesting to not only see where they land but also how they plan to use them with so much talent at the top! Let me dive into how I think things will shake out as of now!

The Risers:📈📈📈📈📈

  • Aidan Hitchinson is the clear big riser of the past month or so. He went from a fringe first-rounder in many mocks, to firmly in the top 5 with some putting him #1 overall. I still have Kayvon sitting at the top, but it wouldn’t shock me at all to hear Hutchinson’s name called first. If he continues to play well in the CFP, it may be a foregone conclusion.
  • Jameson Williams has been showing out all season but when you do it on one of the biggest stages, your stock will shoot through the roof! Williams may be the fastest player in the country and a beast at WR. He capped off his regular season with an impressive 7/184/2 stat line against one of the top defenses in the country. He could continue the trend of Bama receivers hearing their name called day 1.

The Fallers: 📉📉📉📉📉

  • Not something I agree with but these QBs seem to continue to tumble down mocks. Many think we could see zero go in the top 10, which would be staggering to me. While I am much lower on this class as a whole, there are too many teams that need to take a stab at QB and many of them have multiple picks early. Why not throw some darts? It will be interesting though, because there are 5-6 generational type players at the top. Do teams decide to load up on this talent and look for QB later? This storyline will be the one I am most fascinated with come draft season.
